Neil Armstrong was the 1st guy to walk on the moon but 40 years later, Buzz Aldrin’s alpha personality clearly superceded the that of first walker’s.  Even proto-rap artist GSH (Gil Scott-Heron Neil) insists that Aldrin, not Armstrong was the Whitey he was harshing on.

Michael Collins, the least known of the trio, was the guy orbiting the far side of the moon the entire time Neil & Buzz moon hopped.
