The Bush administration, through lies and cohersion convinced the American people and the world that we were justified in invading Iraq. When the lies were exposed there were no apologies, no regrets expressed. This from the leadership of the most powerful nation in the world. Our underregulated financial markets nearly wrecked the world economy. Many Americans and citizens of the international community lost everything. This happened under the watch of George Bush. How can President Obama, leader of the most powerful nation in the world, trying to bring about greater international cooperation and trust in American objectives in the world arena be heckled for winning the nobel peace prize? At this time in world history Mr. Obama’s push for “fraternity among nations” through his efforts for diplomacy among nations has been inspiring to millions. If this kind of effort had occured some eight years ago I wonder where the world would be today.
